ABMNM® is a gentle movement-based therapeutic approach designed to help people improve mobility, coordination, brain function, and overall physical comfort. It is based on the idea that the brain can change and learn throughout life (neroplasticity). Instead of trying to force muscles to work harder, ABMNM® focuses on helping the brain form new, easier movement patterns.
Functional Synthesis® (FS) Lessons and Transformational Movement Lessons® (TML's). Both aim to reduce unnecessary effort, increase awareness, improve coordination and create neural pathways.
During an ABMNM® lesson you can expect a gentle, exploratory experience designed to engage your brain's natural capacity for change. Lessons are slow, comfortable, fully clothed, with an emphasis on subtle movement and increased awareness rather than effort or stretching. The goal is to help your brain recognize new patterns and possibilities.

This approach is especially supportive for individuals seeking greater ease in movement, recovery from injury, improved balance, enhanced athletic performance or simply a deeper conn
Adults who are experiencing discomfort, chronic pain, movement limitations, stress-related tension or a desire to improve coordination and overall function. This approach is especially supportive for individuals seeking greater ease in movement, recovery from injury, improved balance, enhanced athletic performance or simply a deeper connection between brain and body. Because this method works through neuroplasticity, it can be appropriate for a wide range of abilities and goals.

No. ABMNM® lessons are educational in nature and are not physical therapy, medical care, or psychological treatment. The method focuses on learning and neuroplasticity - helping the brain form new connections through gentle, intentional movement.
While many people seek lessons to support comfort, coordination, or recovery, NeuroMovement® does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

When my son Jaxon was diagnosed with 4Q21 Microdeletion Syndrome and Autism, we were constantly trying to find therapies that could "fix him." When we started the Anat Baniel Method® we saw remarkable changes in him. Not only changes in how he moved or communicated, but also in the way he interacted with the world around him. It changed us as a family, we began to see hope for his future rather than fear.
Seeing the impact the Anat Baniel Method® had on Jaxon and our family inspired me to take the training to become a practitioner myself. It is my dream to help change lives, inspire and provide hope when you may feel like all hope is lost.
